The Security Gateway module (SGM / SGW) is a factory protection present in Iveco Cars / Trucks, which limits diagnostic queries only to reading e.g. information about the controller, reading fault codes, VIN number and OBD2 mode. To gain access to advanced diagnostics, you must have authorized, expensive tools and access to Iveco databases or install a special bypass such as Iveco SGW Bypass.
